Being a professional swimmer as part of her school’s varsity team, Antoinette wanted to have a concept reminiscent of her strong bond with water. On the other hand, her hands-on mom wanted to create something stylish and classy – 2 things all girls should be, she says. Hence, Visionary put her in a world where she truly belonged. Set against a chroma background Antoinette’s first shoot consisted of a series of glamorous “underwater” portraits with pearls, sea shells & rhinestones - one which made her a true muse of the waters. We all knew Antoinette was in her element when submerged underwater; her second shoot (one which was never allowed before) involved swimming with real sea creatures in Manila Ocean Park’s tunnel tank. Having to wait for the perfect sea creatures to pass by, multiple outfit changes (each in full regalia of long yards of dreamy chiffon) & tough coordination between long phone calls as the subject is underwater half of the time, the shoot was truly a challenging one for the team. After 5 dress changes of customized designer pieces the shoot ended with a conclusion that Antoinette is truly a muse of the waters.
